Walked into the hairdresser today, and on the spur of the moment decided to dye my hair from blonde to red  ohmy.gif   ph34r.gif

Feeling a bit conspicuous now!  Nothing like a "subtle" change lol.

After:

Wil try to find a before one....

(Someone convince me I haven't made a huge mistake!!!  happy.gif )

I am a bit worried what my ASD DS will think when he gets back home tomorrow!

Well I think you look fabulous! And I like the red more than the blonde.

I know what you men about the change though, I went platinum blonde from dark brown and did a double take every time I saw myself in a mirror or shop window for a week laugh.gif and the same again when I changed back...

Thanks girls!!!!  I'm still trying to get used to it.  I used to be really adventurous with my hair, but have become a bit boring in my middle age  mellow.gif

That's exactly how I feel - I've had so many people I know tell me today that they would not have recognised me.  I wasn't really going for that huge a change lol.

I love the colour and I think it looks great  biggrin.gif

I would love the same shade of red.   I am a brunette and trying to get that colour is expensive and time consuming so the hairdresser tells me sad.gif

Looks great!!

Just look after your colour with gentle shampooing with the right shampoos as the red washes out/fades so quickly especially if it was done over lightened hair.

I think it's a great change. You look like you've gone from "everyday wife/mother," to a trendy young thing.

You'll definitely have to be careful with your red because it does wash out very quickly unfortunately.

Thank you so much for those comments!!  wub.gif

Yes I realised that afterwards - that the red is probably going to wash out quickly.  I've forgotten about caring for red hair!!!

I'm still trying to adjust.  I got out of bed and had temporarily forgotten until I looked in the mirror.  Then had one of those "OMG what have I done!" moments  laugh.gif

Thank you  biggrin.gif .  Can I ask - what products do you use to care for your hair?  Just normal shampoo?  Or a special one for red hair?
