Mmmm I was just thinking about hot cross buns today.

I agree though, way too early for them to be on the shelves.

I watched them unpack cadbury creme eggs in Big W last night, along with all the back to school stuff. I remember seeing easter eggs in our local coles on boxing day last year.

I usually see chocolate eggs appear in shops after 1/1.
They are bit early this year.  wink.gif

Hot Cross Buns are available all year round, they just don't have crosses on them.

BTW, the stores wouldn't stock them this early, unless there was a demand for them. Also, there is only 13wks until Easter. grin.gif

Omg. People! Don't feed the beast!

#15 umop-apisdn

They've been doing this for years...there must be demand, so if it makes a few people happy to be able to eat hot cross buns, it doesn't bother me original.gif .

As much as I love them, I will be sick of them once Easter does come if they are out this early. Winter clothes are also appearing in target, it's barely summer??

Every year we get the same thread. It shouldn't be a surprise by now.

I for one think it's fantastic original.gif

I saw the gluten free ones in the freezer section of Coles the other day.

I just ignore them until Lent.  I can't make myself wait until Good Friday so Lent it is.

I'm really not surprised, but don't particularly care either, they are gross Tounge1.gif

I kind of think it's too early but in the shops defence it is much more efficient to replace Xmas stock with Easter rather than put something up, only to take it down in a few weeks.

I would rather they didn't stop selling them as soon as Easter is over.
