Hi all!

Joined here to get a little insight, advice etc. Newlywed 12/2/12 and just had my Implanon taken out 12/6/12. This is something my husband and I have long discussed and now leaving it to fate/planning. I had my implanon put in 11/20/08. So I had it in for just over 4 years. Longer than the recommended and longer than I intended but it seemed to still do the job. In the entire time I was on BC I only had AF visit one full time the first month it was in, then spotting once about a year later. Other than that, no C or anything. It was nice. Now that is has been removed I spotted for 2 days 12/21 & 12/22. Hoping that counts as AF coming (since I never really had heavy C to begin with) and so I might O in the next week or two. Anywho super excited and ready to learn all I can for the path ahead! Hope all had a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! Bring it on 2013!

Katy

Welcome Katy & good luck on your TTC journey original.gif

I'm a 2012 newlywed also & started TTC in November, but haven't been on any bc for years (just didn't like taking tablets). I haven't heard much about implanon, but no AF sounds great! Might look into that after we have our kiddies!

Anyway, join in on one (or more) of the threads, like the monthly thread in here, or the TTC #1 buddy group & we'll keep you company on your journey biggrin.gif

Welcome Katy! Hope your stay in the ttc threads is short.

As Happylife mentioned, feel free to hang out in the 'X is my month' thread (which moves pretty fast) or the ttc#1 buddy group (you'll find me there too - we've been trying for our first since October).

Good luck! I fell pregnant second cycle after having implanon removed, so here's hoping you have as easy a time of it as me! biggrin.gif though i'm very very lucky and was very very surprised.
Bit of advice for eb. As this is an Australian board you probably want to use the gregorian day-month-year dating format rather than the middle endian/American month-day-year, otherwise people are going to get confused. I thought at first you got married in feb and had implanon removed in june, until i got to 11/20/08 and realised what was going on.

I'm a stay-at-home mum who's an awful housewife

"Hey, come here a second," my mum said as she replaced the book in my hands with a wooden spoon covered in what I prayed was red sauce. Together, we walked into the kitchen and hovered over the skillet like we were peering into a crystal ball. Looking into my future, I saw me eating a lot of take away.
