The kids were listening to CHrissy carols in the loungeroom. They are pretty hyped up about Christmas tomorrow so they seemed to be alternately playing and fighting, progressively getting louder and louder.
Just as the noise reached screaming fever pitch I could hear (faintly, in the background) ".....aaaallll is caaaaaaalllm; aaaaalllll is briiiiiiiight........"
Ironic Christmas carol is ironic.

Now all you need is that particularly nauseating one with the line

Further to the irony... now that all the presents are open it is actually very quiet. I'm hoping it takes the boys most of the day to build their new Lego.
