Thanks everyone with the help in naming our bub. She arrives this morning at 10:18am weighing 2.4kg and we're both doing ok.

We have named her Ava and are still deciding between Ava Sydney Grace (Sydney being a family name) or just Ava Grace.

Gudrun - after seeing Ava she just didn't look like a Pippa so i didn't have to convince DH after all.  original.gif

Edited - to fix my gramma.... still groggy lol

She is a absolutely beautiful.  Congrats.

Either is fine so I am not much help.  I dont place a huge amount of importance on middle names, I can count the number of times on one hand that I have even said DD's!  As long as the flow is nice and the initials dont come up with an obscure word.  Probably just Ava Grace if I had to choose, I am a simple gal.

I know an Ava Grace, I think it's a pretty popular name.  I'd go with Ava Sydney Grace and have the family connection.

Congratulations.

Oh god, she's gorgeous.  I love the names Sydney and Grace.  How about Ava Grace Sydney? then you can call her Ava Grace when you're cross and still include your family name  original.gif PS, if you're in Melb and looking for someone to take some newborn pics of Ava, take a look at my pics original.gif original.gif original.gif  What a special time for you and your family.  Enjoy your baby moon!

Oh Ava Grace is a lovely name and your DD is beautiful. You must be so chuffed. And not bad getting onto EB just a couple of hours after giving birth.

P.S. I am so so so so jealous as we have the same due date and you already have your beautiful bub. *Off to start doing the gutter walk*
