Hi Everyone

I have the task of cooking and supplying the meat for our family Christmas get together.  I don't usually have a preferred supplier that I go to - but I really want to make sure that the meat is tender and tasty.  I am looking at either beef and/or lamb.

Can anyone suggest a butcher or alternate place for buying some good quality meat?

I am based in Leeming, but happy to drive to get the right product.

THanks

We sometimes go to The Mad Butcher, Ladner St in O'Connor.  It's not as convenient for us as it used to be, but everything we've had from there has been really good.

Torre in northbridge, you don't get much better than the old Italian butchers. They have a website and the meat is always exceptional. I drive from success every week for my meat from here. It's worth the trip up the freeway

Thanks for all your respones everyone!!!

I am going to ring them on monday to see if I have to order and if I am too late or not for this.

Might even head over to the mad butcher tomorrow to get some meat to try on the BBQ tomorrow night.

On a side note - We usually get our beef organic and in a bulk order but I have just run out and there is a two week turnaround which leaves us short for Christmas.

Agreed. My parents are very fussy about their food (Italians!) and in particular their meat. This is the only butcher they ever go to and they drive from Kelmscott.
