We have the same star OP.  You need to bend the top branch over so it's double the width.

I also have the same star. Its got about 4 branches shoved through it at the moment, but I've got a real tree so I could cut the branches to fit.

Maybe you just need to show it a good time?

I purposely put the star on wonky at the top of our tree last year just to see if anyone would comment. Noone did, I was disappointed lol.

Okay, for some Chris-trivia from Spikey-the-elf:

When your tree-topper is a flopper,
You need about 30-50cm of wooden dowell or similar item (a ruler will work), that you can attach to the 'trunk' of your floppy tree to provide a nice firm 'branch' for your tree-topper. Disguise dowel (or alternative of your choice) with strategically placed tinsel, that may also be used to hold it on firmly.

After your inspiring posts, I think I will have a look around for some dowelling  :-)

Glad to know I am not the only one that needed some reinforcement!

Reminds me of our tree from last year. We cut one down that was too big- barely fit through the door then needed about a foot cut off the bottom. Just call us the Griswalds!

How nice you went for the 'Lindsay Lohan' look (aka fallen star).

Tomato stakes work a treat for droopy tree toppers.
