So people liked the Artisinal Baby naming blog  article.

I thought they might like this one too:

Given that we are so used to 'euneek' names now on EB maybe the list (above) wont even surprise people but will give people just lovely suggestions to add to their lists! LOL

I will admit to a conversation I had with my parents when I was about 4ish

4 year old z-girl "I know what I will name my baby"

z-girl parent "what honey?"

4 year old z-girl "Diarrhea I think it sounds nice"

z-girl parents " ohmy.gif ..... roll2.gif "

4 year old z-girl "It sounds like Dianna..."

z-girl parents "um, honey... it means poo"

4 year old z-girl " ohmy.gif "

Candida.  It did used to be a woman's name, and now refers to an STD.

I've always thought Fellatio had a nice ring to it.

My mum and sister love to tell the story of me saying I wanted to name a girl Gasoline when I was little. I thought it sounded nice and didn't know what it meant.

When we were kids, my sister wanted to call our new cat w*n*er. No idea why and she would of been about 4 so no idea what it meant.

The cat was called Topsy as decided by parents.

I always thought Hemlock had promise for a boy, except for the whole poison symbolism thing.

I still secretly like Iridesce and Viridiflora for girls but that's less the meanings are horrible and more they're just long and eccentric and clunky.

I have issues with Caleb because of its meaning but that probably doesn't count as people use Caleb anyhow.

Celerie for a girl has been puzzling me recently - but it does sound pretty.

Melanoma is an oddly euphonious word.

Lilligant, Victreebel, and Roselia are all Pokemon and unsuitable to name little girls.

It's not an STD although it can cause vaginal infections - or infections anywhere else in the body.
Melena is a poor choice for a girl - black stools due to upper GI bleeding.

people "nice cat whats his name"

your family "w*nk*r"

People " ohmy.gif um... why"

your family "dont blame us. She [ point to sweet innocent 4 year old sister]
picked it"

Melanoma is an oddly euphonious word.

I get called Melanoma quite frequently!  Also Mellifluous.  And Lemony.

They are all nice sounding words - and they are all I assume slightly more fun to say than dull old Melanie.

My sister had a friend who was adamant she would call her future son Acne.  "But it is such a STRONG sounding word!"

I guess Mirena is ok considering the other brands of contraceptive include Dianne, yvette and Yasmin!

Slightly off topic but there is a condom brand in Vietnam called 'Growena'.  Obviously my maturity level is quite low - we always sniggered.

I have always loved the word Inertia.  Think it would be a lovely name for a little girl, but unfortunately it is a physics term!

Rubella sounds nice.

When I was little I wanted my mum to have another baby and if it were a boy it was going to be Pegasus or if a girl, medusa.

I think Pegasus is an awesome name - nothing nasty in its meaning etiher!

Rubella on the other hand, LOL beautiful word -would be a very ugly name. LOL

we had better hope that if the unfortunatly named Renesme from Twilight has a daughter she does not decide to do a combination name like her mum did. Naming her daugther Bella after her mum and after someone called Ruby...

Sigh. I'm sorry. I have to, so I'll be quick and get it over with.

Boom boom.

I knew of a kid called Werribee. I've always liked the sound of Corona, but you know, the beer. And Cabin would be nice for a boy.

When I was little I wanted to use the name Train for a boy lol

What about Salmonella - that sounds quite feminine!

My partner and I were once discussing koalas and he said something like, "What's that STD they have?"
"Yeah! I've always thought it would make a pretty girl's name if it didn't mean what it did."
