Low fat yoghurt
That tastes good and doesn't cost the earth!

I really want to move these last few kgs of baby weight (my maternity jeans are too big and my regular jeans are too tight sad.gif ), so I've signed on to my fitness pal to help track my eating.

But I usually eat farmers union Greek yoghurt which is 134cal for 100g, so I'm looking for a low fat yoghurt (not artificially sweetened) that tastes good and doesn't cost a fortune!

Any suggestions?

The new Roaming Cow natural yoghurt is delicious!!! And good for you. I go through a massive tub a week & I'm someone who has in the last 2 years lost 35kgs original.gif

Vaalia yoghurts are good too, and Jalna is delicious - pretty calorie dense but has no artificial sweetener.

I like the Yoplait forme. No fat and very little added sugar. 41cal for 100g.

I'd just eat less of the Farmers Union! Maybe with a teaspoon and really enjoy each mouthful.

That sounds like a winner to me! Is it a thick or a runny yoghurt?

It is runnyish. I eat this and while I try to not have artificial sweetener there are some things I say oh stuff it. I have just found out though in this thread it doesn't have it yay! I can't stand thick yoghurt.

Where the heck did Attiki yoghurt go? That was my go-to diet yoghurt.  I miss it.

You're actually better off sticking with full-fat, unflavoured Greek yoghurt. Low-fat yoghurts like Vaalia are all full of sugar. Try looking at your diet and seeing where you might be ingesting hidden sugar - sauces and condiments are a big culprit. Avoid anything with more than 3-4 grams sugar per 100g.

I like Forme, and I've heard good things about Chobani, but haven't checked it out yet. Your other option is to buy an Easiyo yoghurt maker, and a tub of skim milk powder and make your own. You just need a spoon of yog from a little tub along with 1 2/3 cup skim milk powder and 1 L water. Stir and set as per easiyo instructions. Then you know exactly what's in it! Sweeten with fruit.

I love the Jalna Greek yogurt and the Roaming Cow Greek one. I stopped buying the low fat ones cause they are runnier and I like it thick! Also, the low fat ones often have more carbs than the full fat and I think it's a better sacrifice to have less sugar than a couple grams of fat.'
I've lost 8 kgs in a few months cutting out sugar and going low carb.
