Fans of Johnny?

I've  heard Cash before as a name, it's not up there on my list of 'names I really loathe'. I wouldn't use it, I don't really like common nouns as names, it's a bit like calling your kid 'table' but with a slightly nicer ring to it.

Sounds like a soapie name, such as Ridge, Thorne, Storm and so on wink.gif  Cash... fits in nicely with those names.

Isn't Cash Warren the husband of someone famous(who's name I forget right now)? I didn't think it was that unusual actually.

At least their surname isn't Rich..

"Country star John Rich has become a father to a baby boy, he and wife Joan welcomed son Cash Rich on Sunday morning in Nashville."

I must know a lot of funky people or read a lot of gossip magazines and overseas publications because very few of the recent "Can you believe this name?!" threads have even raised an eyebrow.

Cash reminds me of Johnny Cash &  Jessica Alba's husband (who is not really famous on his own, but he did help produce two really gorgeous girls).

It's not that bad. I kind of put it in the "bogan daytime soapie" genre of names. It's something I'd name my dog but not my kid but I've heard worse for kids.

Heard it before, I'm with you BMJ I must know a lot of people who aren't afraid to stray from the norm because none of these recent "ZOMG look at this totally weird name I just heard" have been strange or odd to me.

People don't even seem to read EB posts to know what are pretty normal names.  I mean 'seriously' OP are you just having a go?  I agree with PP's these ooh, ah threads are getting out of hand.  Next it'll be ooh, ah Marie, ooh, ah Jack...   Not your style, OP?  I'd leave it at that.   Why do you need to ooh and ah anyway?   Sorry I've drained my diplomacy vessel.

It's NMS as a name but yep I've heard it plenty of times too, not that weird or out there to me.
