We are looking at putting in an offer on a house in North Willoughby, near the fire station?

We are a bit worried about the noise from the fire station.  Does anyone have any views?

Many thanks.

I don't live there but I know the area. Make sure you check it out on a week day. That area is a parking nightmare during the week thanks to things on at the community hall, the art workshop/gallery and the little shopping strip. Ok if you have offstreet parking but otherwise could be a problem. I have walked past that fire station often and never seen or heard anything going on there so I don't think noise would be much of an issue. I suppose on the odd emergency you'd hear sirens etc and the occasional engine going in or out....

Lovely area though. original.gif

I'm familiar with the area.

I wouldn't worry so much about the noise from the fire station, however that road is not far from 3 very busy rd/st: Mowbray, High and Penshurst St.

ETA that area is not far from Willoughby PS; which also means more traffic around school drop off/pick up.

It's ok though, great area, except for traffic wise

The whole area is busy with the leisure centre, the art centre, community centre, playing fields, shops, schools. But hey, look at all the fabulous facilities you have right on your doorstep. I live nearby and you'll do well in that suburb. It's so convenient to the city, to chatswood, yet it's beautiful and leafy.
