Booktopia has a deadline I think tomorrow for before Christmas deliveries, but it only applies to books they have in stock - anything they need to order may arrive aftr Christmas. I find their prices great.

Pooks, I think book depository gave said the 7th as the deadline.
Given your ds's age I'd go with the cheapest and if they are a bit late, they just spread the joy a bit longer.

Don't know if they'll actually guarantee Christmas delivery, but I ordered some books through http://www.bookdepository.co.uk last week and they arrived in 6 days!!!

I was shocked they came through so quickly and the delivery was dropped off on a Saturday, which never usually happens.

I recently had some speedy service from The Co-op Bookshop for some kids books. I haven't used them since my uni days but I was very happy with the experience and the prices weren't too bad.

http://www.allbooks4less.com.au/ can be worth a look depending on what you are after.

http://www.scb.com.au/ is mostly a remainders place. They have some great book packs at good prices for kids.

I buy from them quite regularly and have never had a delivery take longer than a week.

Here I am, 3.30am, skimming through EB while waiting for DS to drop back off to sleep and I'm reading about books being delivered by Christmas if you order now.

I thought I'd fallen through some weird time sucking worm hole. It was April when I went to sleep and now it's frickin December! What happened? Oh my days.

It's woken me up, that's for sure!  biggrin.gif

Cheers Jupiter!

That edit made me laugh out loud for some reason!

I was starting to think that Pooks seriously DOES need to find a new online book retailer if her previous delivery experience has her fretting about delivery within seven months.... blink.gif

Gotta love a random, out-of-date [insert spam link here]!!!!
