PayPal Email ID PP296

This email looks like the others I have received from Paypal, but it wasn't addressed to me personally (usually paypal emails are addressed to my full name) and I can't think why my credit card would have been removed. I checked my Paypal account (not using this link tho) and there is no indication that there have been any changes made to my credit card. The last transaction was on 22/12, which is correct, so all good.

Is this a scam? It looks like it is a dodgy email to me, so thought I would ask, in case anyone else receives this.

Scam.

PayPal states that all emails from them will always include your username. They are never generic "Dear PayPal user" emails.

Scam. We had one similar a while ago and on closer inspection of the email address it was sent from the "l" was an "I"- very dodgy.

snopes.com is a good place to check for scams, however I couldn't find this particular one on there, although there seem to be plenty of other Paypal ones.

Thank you all, I forwarded this to Paypal's spoof email.

I never clink on links in emails, but I wonder how many people fall for this.
