I've been looking around the internets, searching for cheap batteries. I've found some on ebay, lots of good reviews etc., but they all say things like 'best before feb 2013' or 'Batteries manufactured Apr 2010, shelf life 2 years' which don't seem too promising, I don't think I could use 160 batteries by February. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I just bought some from Kmart. They are $5 for a pack of 24. They seem so far so good. I've got them powering Christmas lights at the moment.
The Varta ones from bunnings are also good but I can't remember how much they cost.
