I'm not sure for how long...but even with shipping it works out as a great deal.

ETA. It doesn't include all the big hard to find sets, but it does include lego city, creator, monsters and friends, so still lots of variety.

They have put up all the prices! I bought the Lego Friends Riding School last week for $71 and it is now $109

I noticed the same thing with some of the duplo items...

Two items I ordered last week would only have been $5 cheaper. As PP said Lego prices are up.

They have not put up the price, it was $25 off the riding school last week as a promotion on selected lego. I bought it on saturday when they had an extra 10% off as well. The 50% off deal really equates to 25% off total purchase if you buy two equal price items really wink.gif

Has anyone bought Lego from the Bricks to the World website? Lego is hard to get where we are so I thought I might buy through them? The prices look reasonable but I don't know.

Ditto. They had a special where you got $25 off over $100 Lego for about two weeks. They did also have some other specials which made it super cheap.

Even though prices are more expensive, it's still cheaper than buying it here.

I just bought my husband some Lego power function motors and receivers and the order was so cheap compared to the cost here.

Thanks for posting about the buy 1 get 50% off the second one.

Thanks OP. Finally managed to get some lego. Curious if anyone successfully used the MC25 code for mastercard $25 discount over $150?

Hi. I ordered some Lego as well as a board game and a rubiks 360 last night and they have mucked up my order..
Not sure what to do. i have replied back after i got the order confirmation but dont even know if that will get to anyone.
The order has charges for the same amount as it came to last night but they  have missed 2 items
off my order, one a medium sized lego set and the rubiks 360,
and still charged me the same postage as well.  i just ran it through checkout again and without the 2 items it brings the postage down by $10 so worth worrying about. plus the missing Lego item was one of the reasons for ordering in the first place.

I paid with paypal, so doesn that mean the money has already gone out and i would have to dispute it through paypal, or should i contact toys-r-us direct and try and sort it out?
When i first ordered i had trouble ordering a furby and emailed them twice and had no response.
Just recieved the first order today though& it's all good. No crushed boxes or anthing else amiss.

--any advice on my next step girls?  im not very happy about it all now. was feeling great about my online shopping for Christmas before now.

Was your order confirmation from 'toys R Us iparcel'? have you emailed the help email that comes with the order confirmation?

I have an order that doesn't show up on the TRU website but shows up in my paypal account and I have an iparcel/TRU email order confirmation showing the correct items are being shipped and postage details etc.

Aside from trying to contact them with a consice clear email outlining the order details and postage variation I am not sure what you can do. Not sure you can paypal dispute it until you have the order in your hands and can see that they did/didn't send you. There is also the possibility they are sending it in two lots and your order confirmation shows the complete postage and one shipmentof items?
Hope you can get it sorted!

PS I don't think TRU ship Furby's to Australia.

Thanks.
Yep the email was from toys-r-us iparcel. I replied to that one.
Just wondering if I should've emailed a specific email address for help with order problems.

I checked my 1st order 's confirmation email and that listed all the items i ordered.

Everything I ordered last night would def. fit into the box I received today, it was huge.  That order included 3 large board games, largish Lego box, smaller Lego box and a couple of smaller items.

So, I guess if I need to dispute it through paypal I have to wait till the order arrives? I think you have 45 days to ledge a complaint or dispute etc.

Thanks original.gif

Yeah, I tried ordering the Furby because it said it shipped to other countries but it wouldn't  go through.
Then I ordered one from Amazon. That was sent, but then cancelled for some reason and they refunded.
I have ordered another one from Amazon and it is apparently on it's way.

Can you take a screenshot of the cart with the items you ordered and the right postage? It might be hard to prove down the track otherwise.
Not sure what you can do unless you keep emailng? maybe email TRU direct?
Good Luck!

I can't get a screen shot of the cart from last night's order with the postage quote  because they don't work out the postage till that last page in checkout where you choose payent method etc and add billing address etc
I still have the cart page up on my laptop.
Still,
The amount they have charged me don't match the added up amounts of the items on the order confirmation.
Maybe they will send a second confirmation page. Doesn't sound right though. With amazon they send the total amount order, and then when shipping says shipping in 2 orders or whatever, iykwim?

I don't mind if I am only paying for what I'm getting but paying for 2 items that aren't being shipped & extra postage is not on!

Edited for silly auto correct

#19 Carabosse

Posted 27 November 2012 - 01:28 PM

So have they actually charged you for the extra items or just the extra postage?

You should be able to check your items postage without having to actually checkout. Don't click "checkout with paypal' choose your country and click 'proceed to secure checkout' and it shows you the items and the postage straight away before you actually checkout (so you can get a screenshot of items and postage allocation on same screen doing this) original.gif

Also worth checking if your total is US dollars and the Paypal invoice Australian or vice versa as that could cause it to change by a few dollars.

Good luck! original.gif

No, they have charged me for all the items plus the postage that i was quoted last night for that amount of items, which would be fine if I were to get all those items.
I have just looked on their sit e and the Lego item is not shipping now only in store.

On the order confirmation I got today it lists the amount due for  Items, then the shipping, then total cost.
Then down further it has the items I ordered bar the Lego friends box and the Rubiks 360.
These items only add up to $40 something, yet they have charged me close to $80. Can't remember off the top of my head right now the exact price.

You won't get an order confirmation from TRU, only from iparcel.  This is because you are actually ordering off iparcel, who act as your agent in the transaction with TRU.  This is why nothing shows up in the TRU accounts section - they don't have your order details, only iparcel does.

beadie: all I can tell you is that I found their postage costs would seem to fluctaute wildly for no apparent reason.  I had a cart stored that was about $25 to ship, but the next day shipping went up to $40something.  I tried another cart with more stuff and postage went up from $35 to $60 a day or so later.  Also, any free items pushed up the shipping dramatically!  I have no idea how 2 items could disappear from your order though - sorry.

I meant the confirmation of your order from iparcel on behalf of TRU. It has the contact details for tracking your order and for inquiries.

I couldn't get any of the free bonus items to ship here!

Has iparcel blog dude been around this year? He worked tirelessly last year to help orders arrive on time from Amazon via iparcel. My final Amazon iparcel package was hand delivered via another company on Xmas Eve because iparcel couldn't handle the volume and had to hire more help!!

Hoping not to cut it so fine this year original.gif
