not enough EBM

DS2 is 9 months and loves his solids.  He's has 5 BFs a day and if he stays overnight at my mum's then a bottle of EBM before bed and another first thing in the morning.

Hubby's work is sending him to Queensland for a few days and his boss has offered to fly me up to stay for 2 nights.

2 nights!  With no kids!  On the beach!  With a book!  Yessss!

Problem is it takes ages for me to express enough for a feed, 30mls a time if I'm lucky.  He's so fast now I worry it's affecting my supply, which is why he's still on 5 feeds and I'm reluctant to drop any.

I'm wondering how many bottles of EBM a day he should have while I'm away...is 3 enough?  He loves his food so my mum can give him extra solids to keep him full.  Mum also has some tetra pak formula in case of emergencies, but I don't want to use those unless she really needs to.

TIA

how much lead time do you have???
Get some fenugreek tea, drink litres of water and eat oats/porridge.....
And express till you have enough.
Have a great holiday!

You get better at expressing as time goes on, it can take practice. Are you getting a let down with the pump? have you tried different times of day?

Anyway, at that age id try to leave about 600ml per day. But that's just from what I knew of DD, your son might need more/less. But honestly if he's on solids and happily drinks formula too then just leave what you can and enjoy your holiday, he'll be fine. Don't forget to take your pump away with you so you can express to maintain supply and comfort!

Have a great time!
