Hi all
Expecting 3rd DD in April and really stuck for names!
We're thinking Ella or Sophie for a first name.
DD1 Emily Mae
DD2 Katrina Elizabeth.
We have a very common, plain, one syllabal (SP?) last name that starts with B. Previous two DDs have family names as a middle name, but don't really have any more girl family names we would like to honour. I'm stuck trying to come up with a middle name. Any suggestions?

What lovely names your DDs have! Ella and Sophie are both nice, I would lean towards Sophie given Ella and Emily are fairly similar (but perhaps not eyebrow raising similiar).

Sophie Eloise
Sophie Margaret
Sophie Lillian
Sophie Eleanora
Sophie Louise

Emily, Katrina and Lilith
Emily, Katrina and Harriet
Emily, Katrina and Stephanie
Emily, Katrina and Celeste

What about Ella Sophie?

Ella Imogen
Ella Penelope (You could get away with a long middle with a simple first and last)
Ella Susannah
Ella Delphine
Ella Sophia
Ella Naomi
Ella Quintana
Ella Jessamine

I agree that Emily and Ella are tad similar,  I think Sophie works better for you.

If your'e not sure of a middle name you could always go Sophie Ella, sounds quite good together.

I think Ella is too close to Emily too.  I think Sophie goes well:

Agree with this.

Do you have a favourite flower that could be used for a middle name? Violet, Lily, Iris and Jasmine are pretty (and not quite as common as the middle name of Rose, as with a common last name Sophie Rose might be a bit too predictable? Though it is a nice name).

Or perhaps a good friend or a favourite book character?

I'm all for giving middle names that have meaning though.

Other suggestions for middle names that go well with Sophie:
Anne, Claire, Charlotte, Alice, Victoria, Eleanor, Kate

Thanks for all the suggestions (I'm now leaning toward Sophie). Too bad we can't have a flower name (combined with our last name it just sounds like a bad housing development) as I love them! Sophie Ann made me smile: True Blood fans anyone?
