I need some help making my mind up. I'm currently equally liking Estelle and Estella. Which do you prefer?

I prefer Estella. Estelle just makes me think of the old lady from Golden Girls.

I like Estelle or Stella.  Not as keen on Estella.

I like Estelle or Stella. I only like Estella if it said with a Spanish or Latin American accent.

I prefer Estelle - I am generally a fan of the shorter version of names.

I quite like Estelle - unusual without being out there.

I prefer Estelle. It's such a pretty name that I had never given a second thought too until big brother.

Estella - a beautiful little Spanish town and the nickname Stella or Star would easily follow.

To me, Estelle seems incomplete.

My preference is 1) Stella 2) Estella 3) Estelle. I think Estella is beautiful. Despite knowing a couple of lovely little Estelles, I still can't warm to it in the same way.

I like Estella more than Estelle. If I wanted two syllables I'd probably go Esther.

I'm not big on Stella itself but find Estella pretty.

I like Estelle more. I was actually thinking this morning about Gabriella and Gabrielle and I much prefer the 'elle' sound over the 'ella' sound. Like Dominique and Dominica. I prefer the 'nique' sound and look.

Estella by a very long way for me.   Estelle is a bit musty while Estella has the flourish. Something 'uplifting' about it.

#22 Ianthe

Posted 12 November 2012 - 10:07 AM

I think I prefer Estelle mainly because Estella was such a spoilt brat in Great Expectations.

#23 JuniperSun

Posted 12 November 2012 - 10:12 AM

Estelle is just beautiful. If you were to shorten it I prefer Stella.
