what to do with them?

We have heaps of old pillows lying around the house, and I don't know what to do with them.
They are taking up lots of space that I need for other things. They aren't something that you give away, and no one would take them (fair enough).
I called the RSPCA, and they don't take pillows, just blankets & towels- which I've already donated to a 'people' charity.

Any ideas? or do I just put them in the garbage?

Pillows can get pretty grubby over time. If they were feather or down, I know a company that launders and recases them (also top ups) and that way you can reuse them, but if they were polyester or other fill, I'd unfortunately say just chuck them in council clean up or regular rubbish day.

We use our old pillows to make comfy short lived beds for the dogs. Then when they are no good just throw them in the garbage.

yes, we do the same thing with the pillows. If you use some old pillow cases it makes them last longer too. Perhaps an animal shelter may be interested? Otherwise bin them.

All polyester I'm afraid. RSPCA won't take them, so I guess I'll have to bin them.
It feels so wasteful sad.gif one day we'll be able to spend the money on good quality pillows that might last longer!

Thanks everyone!
