Minnie, good on you for being so patient! Your temps are still looking nice.

Bambi, I get the feeling you're kind of relieved that you know what's going on now. At least you can move on and stop wondering. Be kind to yourself and I hope you have some better luck soon.

Valhalla, I'm probably not the best person to ask about OPKs because the ones I've tried haven't worked that well for me. I've only tried the fertility2family ones that I bought on ebay. My understanding is that for some women, like me, their LH surge is lower than the average that's detected on OPKs. So I don't ever get a true positive result - I get almost no second line at all for most of the month, and a line (not dark enough to be a true positive) that lasts only a few hours when I'm about to ovulate. Other women who have naturally higher levels of LH might get a second line for most of the month, and a very dark line (a positive) when they're about to ovulate.

You can see in my chart (in my sig), I had fertile CM for several days before O this month. I find CM a much better sign to track, and OPKs are just a backup. I got an almost positive OPK in the morning and ovulated the same day, so it wasn't all that helpful for timing SWI.

Has anyone else tried any other brands of internet cheapies? I need to buy some more and I was thinking of trying another brand.

My OPKs are from oraclefertility. They are ok. Some months I seem to have a really short LH surge and others I have a longer one. Either way I do get a fade in pattern starting about 2 days before the actual positive so that is useful. I do get a completely different result testing morning and night, so this month I'm only testing morning as that's when I get my darkest line (last month I had a positive 10am, hardly any line at all 2pm, another positive the next morning at 10am, no line 2pm). I think I drink too much water.

Edit: I get very little (if any) FFJ so the OPKs really help me.

Thanks caninestorm, maybe I'll try those ones next. I drink heaps of water too, and I definitely don't hold my pee for as long as they suggest to. So maybe that's part of my problem. I don't really want to cut back on water though, I think it's good to drink a lot.

Hi ladies,

I'm on 11 dpo and I've been away on holidays.  Now I'm back.  I had spotting at 9dpo that stopped again, and am due for george on 12/13 dpo.  I've had cramping and colostrum coming out of my nipples.  I keep getting bfns on internet cheapies, but I bought a fR on the way home and with afternoon urine we could see where a faint line was, though it didn't have colour... So i'm in agony waiting to see if george turns up or not.

good luck to everyone else... I only read this thread.

thoughts go to the lady who had a mc - and yes I beleive you are super fertile the next month, that happened to me when conceiving ds, an early mc then we got pregnant the very next month.
