When post c-section can you go swimming (in chlorinated water)?

I'm eight weeks post - had my 6 week check up and forgot to ask my GP. I'm in great health post caesar with no complications. I'd like to include swimming into my exercise routine.

Thank you.

thank you for the reply. No, I wasn't worried about that (lochia). Just more the c-section scar/op etc. Externally rather than anything else. So I'm guessing it's fine..

I was told 6 weeks for a few different surgeries I've had, so I'd assume that.

This.

I did aqua therapy for rehab post c-section and was able to go in the water as soon as I stopped bleeding. If my incision was still open they would have applied a waterproof dressing to it.

They wanted me in physical therapy asap though.
