This is first time I've posted in this thread for ages and I just missed out on bronze sad.gif

But on a happier note I got my first BFP.gif

I've been trying to avoid EB so if you don't recognise me, you can just ignore my post.

I got a very faint BFP on Friday night, then again on Saturday morning and a darker line this morning.  I'm 13dpo and just starting to accept that I'm preggas. But I've been spotting on and off all weekend so I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Anyway, just wanted to hi to you all and I hope you get your BFPs soon.  Hopefully I'll see some familiar ppl in the July DIG.

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and new to forum posting in general. You'll have to forgive me but I don't know all the acronyms yet (what is BFP and CD!?).

Hubby and I have been trying for #1 most of this year. I have PCOS so it has been hard to track my cycles. They have ranged from 35 days to 105 days (!) over the last 12 months.

Feeling pretty good though. Positive most of the time.

Just thought I'd say hi.

I know I'm meant to stop posting in here after a BFP but I'm happy to let you know what I did differently if you're interested.

Welcome TVbaby - there's a pinned post of all the commonly used acronyms if you go to the TTC front page.  It is very helpful, otherwise you'll just find a lot of posts very confusing!  wacko.gif

Pippa26 - absolutely.  Would be great to hear what you did differently

Well it sounds like you're interested so this is what I did differently this cycle:

- BDed everyday for a week before O
- Used maybe baby sperm friendly gel (sometimes)
- Stopped taking vitex and EPO
- Took red clover isoflavones (120mg) on CD2-6.  Isoflavones are meant to act as nature's clomid and I wanted to bring my O forward cos I have a long cycle.  This didnt happen, I still didnt O till CD27.  Also, the tablets I was taking were menopuase ones, which was weird wacko.gif
- Raised my hips after sex (I thought this was an old wives tale but my pregnant friend told me she did it)
- Stopped checking EB tongue.gif

I have no idea what made a difference.  Take your pick and try!

Hi all

Newbie here original.gif

DH and I have literally just started TTC (and giving it a good go blush.gif )

Currently on CD26 but had a nice temp dip this morning and +OPK yesterday and today, so I dare say I'll be 1DPO tomorrow or Wednesday! I've been charting since July when I came off the BCP.

I'm looking forward to get to know some of you during our (hopefully) short stays here

#23 TVbaby

Posted 29 October 2012 - 09:35 PM

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

Bwok-Bwok I'm sorry to hear about the miscarriage.

I want my BFP so much I would be absolutely devastated to have it taken away.

I am currently on CD 32. Am charting BBT and CM on my smartphone app (!) as my cycles vary greatly in length.

Because of the crazy cycles, DH feels the pressure sometimes (no result, if you know what I mean). I don't see it as too much of a problem - it's only about a third of the time. He takes it very badly though :-(

Does anybody else's husband/partner have the same issue? I just want him to know it's ok and I don't think he's 'failing' at all!

#24 MiracleBubba

Posted 30 October 2012 - 06:40 AM

Around O time we try to DTD every day for 3-5 days....by the 5th day... DH (and me) is very worn out & does 'struggle' IYKWIM but never 'failed' IYKWIM.He takes a men's reproduction multi vitamin which seems to give him lots of energy & increases his sex drive. Might be something your DH could look into.

#25 PrincessPeach

Posted 30 October 2012 - 10:42 AM

Bwok-Bwok - I am so sorry. Sending you big hugs & take care of yourself.

TVBaby - Welcome! In answer to your question, the pressure gets to my DH sometimes as well & he feels terrible, for us though, it's been a massive midset change, for the past 8 years we've been rarther careful, so to just ditch that caution is kind of weird.

Sturmy - welcome. I hope your stay here is nice & short!
