It's that time of year when I start shopping @ Amazon for Christmas presents. After I checked out - I went to look at a few other toys and realised that Mighty World Toys are available for international shipping for the first time this year - I'm a bit cranky at myself because I would have added them to my order & saved a bit more on the shipping charges.

I'm also about to place a US Toys R Us order as well, now that they ship internationally original.gif

My Amazon order should be here by 8th November.

What is everyone else looking at ?

Spot It rocks!  I have been having more trouble finding stuff that will ship here this year so I am yet to order anything.  I may get it all from toysrus.com instead.

ednaboo do you use the Amazon Global Eligible function on the left hand side of the screen about halfway down?

I have have received most of my orders Lalaloopsy dolls, bed, backpacks. Lego storage head (soft),  lego construction worker torch, Melissa and Doug dollhouse furniture, people and a princess mirror.

I also got "Where children sleep", Lalaloopsy books and an activity set,

Found the the lalaloopsy dolls were priced between 15-24.00 dollars and are priced between 38-50.00 here if you can get them at all.

I just did an order with Toys R us for some small things just to see what the delivery times were like.  I love with them that when you click open the item it tells you on the item whether it can ship internationally, why can't Amazon make it that easy

I put in an order at Amazon for a couple of Bruder trucks, a BusyTown game, story cubes,  Melissa and Doug puzzles and bead sets.

Half of it has been shipped already but of course, the bruder trucks, which I really, really want to arrive in time for Christmas are delayed...

I am about to put in an order at Toysrus for the Duplo doctors clinic and a Yoda alarm clock. They are each almost half price (not quite) compared to here. Just hope they arrive in a timely manner! ;-)

Does anyone have any recommendations for musical instruments for toddlers on Amazon? I'm thinking little egg shakers, bongos, percussion instruments mainly.

I ordered and have already received a DS game each for the older DSs, a leapster explorer I-spy game for DS#3 and a book pack for a secret santa gift - but no further info on that as it's for one of the children in my EB parents group. wink.gif

Now I'm looking for some things for the early in the year birthdays. Which is nearly everyone in my family. rolleyes.gif

My Toys-R-Us order has stuffed up. The paypal transaction for i-parcel went through, but then did not return to ToysR-Us for confirmation. Despite the money being charged to my CC - ToysR-Us don't have the order in my account. I've emailed them & they have a record of the order - so I've emailed i-parcel to get them to sort it. Still waiting to hear back from them.

I bought these for my sons last week from Amazon. These are the big 15" ones for $31. They are about $69 to buy here. We discovered these during the school holidays at a day camp thing my kids went to. I've been on the hunt for them ever since. The boards are bouncy like mini trampolines. They are so much fun!!

There is a thread about this. It happened to a lot of us but it's all good. I emailed ToysRus and when they got back to me they told me that didn't have a record of my order either.... that was after I had received notification from i-parcel that it had shipped!!!

I got confirmation that tonight that the Bruder trucks have been sent  original.gif

Can I ask how long people's orders have taken to arrive  if they have ordered from amazon or Toysrus in the last few weeks?

What are the shipping charges generally like on Amazon?  I had 3 items in my cart which weren't too big (lalaloopsy doll, Diary of a Wimpy kid figuirines & card game) and the shipping was $30 - does this sound reasonable?  I suppose it is if these toys are unavailable over here!

#23 B.feral3

Posted 30 October 2012 - 10:25 AM

I paid about $16 post and I had about 9 things in my basket. 2 packs of 2 big round Ogosport boards, a board game, a deck of cards, a jigsaw puzzle, Angry Birds Knock on Wood and a few other things.

#24 Ellaq

Posted 30 October 2012 - 01:54 PM

I paid around $50 for 14 items. Nothing too large but lots of board games and at 14 items it will be a large delivery.
