T.J - I hope both your DH and you are doing ok. No need to feel guilty it was something you could not control and ive been having the off dizzy spell as well lately so im not sure if it pregnancy related or what and my blood pressure is normal for the most part.

Suzy-c - Hope all went well with your induction. When you can let us know how it all went. All the best xx we're thinking of you and your little new addition

StormGirl77 - AWWWW wub.gif hes is gorgeous. Look at that beautiful bubby. I've gone all  goo goo, gaa gaa in front of my computer screen and ive officially turned to mush.. I hope you recover well from your c-section.

Suz01 - Im going through the same thing. But its more hit me that oh my gosh, i'm going to be a mummy. I hope your DD gets better.

MalibuZoo - It does sound like shes trying to find a reason for a c-section although we would hope not seeing as they are medical professionals which are supposed to want for this to go as natural as possible. i hope you do get a chance to try for it naturally and i hope a c section is not needed.

Tanglez - well hopefully you will have some baby news for us soon seeing as you cant go much more over due  tongue.gif i cant wait to hear about your little one.

Justonemore - fingers crossed for a better posterior labour this time around, hopfully it was nothing like your last. Hopefully this bub won't be as big as your last DS.

Chloe69 - We have our little ones name luckily we knew what our "boy name" would be before we conceived. but if this one had been a girl i have no idea. we still cant decide on a name for our hypothetical baby girl. Everytime i have a scan i think OMG that baby is huge but then i keep saying to myself its just enlarged on the screen, its just enlarged on the screen haha a way of coping for my fear of pushing out a baby elephant hehe.

Emnut - congrats on your DS working so well on his first cricket match.
I cant even imagine how you have felt throughout this whole journey and it isn't fair that you have had to gone through it but you are so strong. I'm praying for little henry to get better as soon as possible for you and your family. xx

as for myself.
There really is not much to report here. The appointment with my midwife went well on Friday although now she is talking about possibly inducing me again because baby has decided so have a little growth spurt in my belly, I am measuring a few weeks ahead again and she could feel there has been a change since I last saw her a week ago. So hopefully all is fine and my little boy by the looks of it will be taking after his dad.. which is a good thing because his dad is very tall and handsome. ill go to see her again this Saturday and hopefully will have more discussion around everything. She said with the symptoms I've been having and with how the baby is measuring it is possible I could have the baby just before I'm 39 weeks (her comments are based on her experience). I know she may not be right but I can't help but be a little excited. I've been having period pain on and off again and I've been getting the radiating back pain which has been going from the back to my sides and its uncomfortable, I really don't like it and I already have enough existing back pain from before pregnancy to worry about. I still have the sniffles which refuse to go away although no other flu/cold symptoms just the sniffles and its driving me insane. I've read a few things that say this could be another pre labour symptom. I already have another 100 pre labour symptoms I really don't need this one added onto it.  sad.gif oh well.

DH and I put up our Christmas tree last night which I know is early but I wanted it out of the way and I also wanted it ready for when DS comes home; not that I think he'll realise.  happy.gif

well that's about enough from me. I'll be stalking to see of more baby news.

Still in one piece here but feeling good and bubs is still active so guess that's the main thing!
TJ I agree with everyone else you have nothing to feel guilty about. Very glad you are ok, must have Ben an awful fright.

Justonemore ooooh I have heard about posterior sad.gif hopefully bubs will turn a bit more before the time comes, my little guy was heading that way so I spent days in odd positions to encourage him back, it worked. As for overdue, I hear you loud and clear original.gif I am trying to stay calm and mindful and not focus on what happens if labour doesn't start naturally. Fingers crossed for us all!

Malibuzoo I hope you get your natural birth. My brother was almost eleven pound and my mum did it drug free with no complications, so it is definitely possible! I had to see an obs the other day to go over results and he was awful, I too had that feeling that he just wanted me in and out. I made a complaint about him afterwards for not providing enough information, performing a stretch and sweep without gaining consent and being unprofessional. The midwife told me he had received many complaints and many were related to him inducing or performing c sections because heaven forbid he have to wait for things to unfold naturally.

Whoops, so didn't mean to go off on a rant! Hope we have some Melbourne cup winners. Take care lovely ladies, I'm off to find a fascinator to get into the spirit lol!

Congrats StormGirl77, he is such a cutie!

I know it's been a while since I've posted last. am still trying to figure out the EB website.
I'm now 38 wks +3. Saw my OBGYN yesterday.
She said bub is engaged & very low down. Have been having chains of contractions for the past 2 weeks on & off (3 to 5 contractions in a row like a wave pattern).
The OBGYN has suggested that from my previous labour history & what is happening now, I should not delay getting to the hospital. She said it is likely to be a quick labour & thinks it will happen this week sometime. rolleyes.gif

The feeling of having another bub at home possibly soon feels surreal to me, no idea why I feel like this.
I was overly excited when I was pregnant with my DD. Maybe it's because I know what to expect when DS arrives home how hard it will be.  unsure.gif

Best wishes everyone

T.J-  Just read about your fall. That is scary. Hope you & bub are OK.
On the upside, you were so very lucky to be near the hospital when it happened.
Hope DH & DS are ok too. Did DH have to stay in hospital?
I'm surprised the fall didn't bring on your labour!
I cannot imagine how the Mum's feel being 40 wks plus...

I feel as though I am starting to not care about what's happening around my physical environment now, like I'm in a bubble & all I want to do is stay rested & focus on staying calm.
It's like my body is telling me 'I have to' & that bub will be here soon.
I hope my intuition will help everything happen smoothly. We all want that right?

lozzylots - we must have posted at the same time as i didnt see your reply. All the best for today. i hope everything goes well and let us know when you can an update. All the best.  original.gif

Ms Juls - Thats exciting news to hear that it could all be happening for you this week. Best of luck. Keep us updated.

Im still the same as before nothing new to report here. not much has changed in half a day for me  tongue.gif

Lozzylots - hope all has gone wonderfully today & you have your baby girl in your arms tonight.

TJ - how scary with your fall.  Glad you are both ok & that you aren't being made to feel worse by Lachie (don't you love how they manage to do that all the time).  I'm somewhat surprised that they won't look at getting baby out with your BP issues.

Tanglez - glad you made a complaint - how inappropriate from the ob.  Glad you made a complaint - hope that your baby makes an appearance soon (have to say while I would have liked to have the second half of pregnancy not so sure I'd like the whole overdue thing).

Ms Juls - yep everything happening smoothly would be great for everyone.

Miss Lizzie - hopefully not long.

Does anyone know how Catty & Charlize are going?  Hopefully she is coming along in leaps & bounds.

I've finally been able to see Henry again.  Am hoping that tomorrow I might get a hold of him - couldn't today as they decided to adjust his vent settlings.  We have a meeting with his care team tomorrow so will  hopefully know more about what is going on with Henry from that.  Right now it just seems like he is getting nowhere & going to be stuck forever.  Tomorrow was my due date so been having a big cry tonight since coming home wishing that we were waiting for him to arrive rather than being left wondering  when he will move closer to the door of NICU.

Happy news on the family front - I think I mentioned here that early in the pregnancy SIL had a late miscarriage - she announced a new pregnancy yesterday - she is 10 weeks.  So hoping that this time she gets to bring the baby home & so happy for them.

No bub yet for me...but I felt him move down further twice yesterday! The pressure is an amazing feeling. Felt like someone inflating a balloon in my lower pelvis! Eeek!
Have my suitcase packed ready, except for a couple of last minute things.

I begged my DH to neg. working closer to home with his boss, (not hrs out of town, for his job), & he has decided to work out of town instead-fully knowing what my obgyn has advised.

My DD is currently toilet training, I have no family or friends to help me out. My neighbours are feral & extremely obnoxious. Cannot afford a bb sitter. Cannot access occ. child care as I cannot get DD there & home.
My obgyn said I cannot delay getting to hospital for this birth, so the only option I can see is, calling an ambo when it happens, & taking DD with me if my DD isn't around.

I am trying for a VBAC. Have been given the all clear by my obgyn, specialist, OB & the hospital-so I feel relieved that they all believe I am making the right decision.
I was originally booked in to have a c-section tomorrow, but it was only if bub stayed breech...

Me thinks I'll be popping out bub with no support ppl to help me, only the midwives that are on duty (whoever that may be coming & going).
Have even looked into Doulas & IM's-too expensive, even student midwives.
So much for keeping calm!   unsure.gif

Tanglez - how unprofessional of the obs. Glad you made a complaint. How long are they willing to let you go over? Can I ask what the stretch and sweep was like? I'm thinking of getting it tomorrow if my midwives offer it. I have an antenatal appointment tomorrow and then I think I can get booked in with a doctor in the overdue clinic on Monday to discuss my options if bubs still hasn't made an appearance..

T.J - my midwife isn't really guesstimating babies size as at all my appointments I've measured accordingly but how can they really tell? At my 34 week ultrasound the results estimated approx 2.7kgs and then another 6 weeks of growing on top of that so who knows  unsure.gif  My midwife said the ultrasounds can be way out so not to worry but DS1 was 3680g and DS2 was 3950g  ohmy.gif hoping with this one being a girl, that she will be smaller  wink.gif

Emnut - hope you got a chance to cuddle Henry. How did the meeting go? I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through but you are always in my thoughts. Big hugs and strength to you and your little boy x

Ms Juls- sorry to hear you haven't got much support around you. Is your DH home at nights? Hopefully it all happens when your DH is around. Hoping it all works out for you.

Hi ladies,
I've been a stalker on EB for a while, and figured I should really introduce myself - I feel like I know so many of you already  biggrin.gif
Im 29, from little old Adelaide and have a little girl due on 26th November (our first) - all is going well at this stage.  Although I have to admit that I am getting a bit over the heavy tummy, constant toilet breaks and pelvis pains!
So far we have the nursery all set, bassinet in the bedroom, hospital bag mostly packed - except for bub's stuff and daddy's snacks lol. That's a job for the next few days hehe
I love hearing about all of your updates, and all of the beautiful little bubs now being born, so will do my best to start joining in biggrin.gif

Hello everyone, greetings from the land of 41+9 lmao!

Well, I didn't get my Melbourne Cup Day baby, in fact, I joked in the morning whilst looking at the race line up that it would take a green moon for this baby to come, knew I should have put some money on it lol!

Welcome Liliya83! May the rest of your pregnancy be smooth sailing!

Justonemore - very very unprofessional but thankfully resolved well and back to feeling happy and calm in my waiting! I found the stretch and sweep painful but to be honest I don't know how much of that was attributed to the Dr's approach and the fact that my cervix was completely closed and hard when he tried. I suspect had I been more relaxed and my cervix more favourable it would have only been uncomfortable. Good luck with your appointment anyhow, make sure you get all the information before deciding whether to have it done or not. I am booked in to get Cervadil on Friday if bubs hasn't come, so I'll be 11 days over then. Then it is a matter of seeing how my body and bubs responds. Still hoping that he makes a move before then but what will be will be and I intend on embracing the experience however it presents!

Ms Juls - how exciting feeling him move further down, though I wish that excitement could be accompanied by a sense of feeling supported in the process sad.gif That must be so difficult for you knowing that you have no oneyou can count on. I truly hope that it works out in such a way that you get your VBAC, have your DH with you and a way to get DD looked after. Fingers crossed

Emnut - being overdue i nothing compared to what you have been through, it is a little bit frustrating but there are also blessings that come with it. My fingers are crossed that you get a cuddle tomorrow and some good news from the care team at the meeting. hugs and a hat tip!

TJ - The midwife and I both put in a complaint. Hospital actually rang today to let me know it was being looked at by the head of the department and to assure me that he would not be allowed to treat me during my hospital stay. Hope everyone is recovering from the fall in every which way and that bubs is making some progress towards the exit!

Time to rest in case I need my strength tonight! Belly rubs and best wishes!

Omg. Tj that makes me feel sick you had to argue that hard with your history
Kind of makes me mad! Good luck for the next few hours!!!

Tanglez not much longer, 11 days over must feel a bit like a green moon, I hope something happens vsoon.

Still stalking for baby news, I finished up getting a touch of DD gastro bug which has meant more churning tummy than much else. DH actually told me not to have our bub until at least next Friday due to his work commitments! Omg didn't he cop it!

Went back into work to finish off and did, feel less stressed about things now. Even stuck a monkey wall decal up in the nursery. How easy and effective are they! Can't figure out how to post a pic.

Belly rubs!

T.J. - that makes me so mad when people are fobbed off like that - with both Henry & DS1 their CTG's they had the day it was decided to deliver were fine - in both cases a scan later that day showed reverse blood flow so what a load of rubbish that a CTG is a good measure of placental function.  Glad that things are progressing for you & hope baby is out sooner rather than later for you & your peace of mind.

Suz - don't think I would have like to have been your DH after that comment.  Yay to getting everything at work fixed up (is it wrong that I"m itching to get back to work for even one short shift a week?).

Tanglez - hope your strength is needed tonight

Hi to everyone else.  Hope that you are all coping with those last few weeks.

Henry's nurse today wouldn't let me hold him at all even though it had been discussed yesterday - so angry with her.  I'm not sure what to make of the meeting with his care team today.  His digestive system as I suspected is very much a case of wait & see what happens & hope that in time he will start tolerating feeds that he still can't cope with and in the meantime keep him on TPN.  The biggest concern for him now is him still needing ventilation & that he is regularly not making any respiratory effort of his own for somewhat extended times and the damage being done to his lungs that may or may not be too significant for him to recover from if we get him weaned.  Tomorrow is also the day his course of antibiotics is stopping so there is some concern that when we start feeds again because he doesn't tolerate them bacteria may form again which would be fatal for him now.  Much like the whole ventilation issue though, they still have to risk attempting to get him tolerating feeds.  So a worrying couple of weeks coming up.  His overnight nurse must have noticed that today was his due date as she had put a little "happy due date" sign on his humidicrib - I really really want the one that says "welcome to the 1kg club" instead though - 190g left to go.

Hi Everyone,

I have just read the whole thread and caught up on all the news ..... I am the one living in Singapore. I am regular also in the FB group which is why I don't come in so often - I am normally on my phone and FB is so much easier - EB is too hard from my phone.

Emnut - wanted to catch up on Henry's news and I am really sorry to hear its not better. I don't blame you for being so angry with the nurse that wouldn't let you hold him :-(

So many babies being born now ... I Guess that's to be expected.

I am currently 39+2. My Ob has been saying the whole time she wld induce early because of the Hashimotos thyroid issue and the Gestational diabetes. Everything has been so well controlled though I have made it this far :-) major dramas in our house last week which meant that the Ob didn't check my cervix and discuss induction on the 6th when I had my Monday appt. Mum couldn't make her fight from NZ as she was hospitalized with some awful bug they thought was meningitis. She has been sick almost 2 weeks and while at home now, she is not getting better. Rebooked her flight twice already and I know she isn't going to make this Friday so we are possible looking at Monday. I will be gutted if she misses the birth but it's part of life. My DD (3.5) had a temp last week that lasted 5 days and nights. She has never had one go on that long and a blood test showed bacteria so she is on antibiotics. I had no sleep for 6 nights and when I went to Ob Monday I said "please keep this baby in" so she did a CTG and all good so she agreed. I have had 2 good nights now so positive about things and going for a massage on Sat that will concentrate on acupressure points. Hoping for another "calmbirth" like with my DD. Managed an induced birth almost drug free .... needed gas at 8.5 cm so will try for something similar. My walking for 20mins 3 times per day has been cut to twice most days since baby engaged. Instead of 20 mins now it takes me 25 but I enjoy it and it makes me feel good. Only gained 2 kg since 20w and I think all up 7.2 kg which is better than the 17 I gained with DD!!

Take care and will keep everyone posted.

A quickie from me... Has been a misunderstanding with my dates and I was booked in for the induction tomorrow rather than the cervidil so I am heading to the hospital at 4pm today! Was an absolute shock when the midwife called, but I am sort of glad I don't have to wait another day. Anyhow, I don't have Internet on my phone so the next time I post it will be to announce the arrival of my baby boy original.gif Hopefully sooner rather than later and after a smooth natural birth.

Emnut - congratulations for your SIL on her pregnancy thats great news on the family front.

Ms Juls - im so sorry to hear that you may be going through your labour without any support. That really sucks about your DH working out of town.

Lillya83 - welcome back. not long to go now hopefully we'll hear more updates on how your going original.gif

Mellmatho - is exciting to know in no more than 3 weeks you will have your little baby in your arms. hope your stretch and sweep goes well next thursday

tanglez - a melbourne cup baby would have been great a reason to add to the celebration but on the other hand YAY you're booked in and going to the hospital at 4pm thats so exciting. all the best, let us know how it all goes when your up for it.. i feel like a kid on christmas morning im so excited for you. finally we're getting some more november babies original.gif

T.J - thats stretch and sweep does not sound at all too pleasing although i hope that this pregnancy you do not have any placenta problems. all the best for the arrival of the little one. it cant be much longer now.

Suz01 - the decals are great. i was putting up some canvas decorations in babies room and then decided it all to hard so i stopped DH can do it he has more energy and is taller hehe

Emnut - im really sorry that silly nurse did not let you hold henry. that really frustrates me as who is she to change the decision as to whether you can hold your baby or not. im sorry you had to go through that. hopefully he breaks the 1kg barrier real soon.

franno - sounds like your doing great its good to hear how well everything is doing for you. im hoping for another calm birth for you too. hopefully your mum gets better and can fly over to see you on monday. fingers crossed x

as for myself

nothing much has changed i have been waking up the last 2 nights with pains and with back aches that radiate around my back to the front of my belly. it really annoying because it got to the point it was so bad i was getting a little excited that baby may be coming, but then he decided he'd rather have a nap  sad.gif and not come and meet mummy and daddy. he's a little teaser.

i have been feeling very off today and again more labour symptoms and pains so this has now been non stop for 3 weeks or maybe a bit more so i am hoping that he will be coming soon im currently 37 w + 5 days. ill be seeing my midwife again on saturday and depending on how bub is measuring again she may book me in for a scan to see if there is a need to induce me because baby has decided to start growing again and get ahead of his measurements im still hoping that her prediction of him coming in about a week is right because im so excited and i have everything ready. the house is all decked out in christmas decorations to add to the spirit so we can bring him home to a happy and nice place. He seems to be pretty content with where he is now although. I still have a few more weeks to go so who knows what will happen. I wil update more after my appointment on saturday. hopefully tonight goes well and i get a full nights sleep (one can dream)  tongue.gif
