hey guys, im new to the forum, iv got 2 toddlers. have a dp who im wondering if i made the right choice about, i am also 13 weeks pregnant. i had the 12 eek scan and gotthe risk of 1:38 for down syndrome. last thrusday i had a cvs done and that was a weird and painfull experience. it all went well, so well infact the ultra sound shuld the fluid behing the neck went from 4.4mm down to 1.4mm in 1 week, but i am still in the same risk zone due to the first messuremnt. we have made our choice on what to do if it is pos for downs or any of the others, we will be terminating, it took a while t get to this but we made the choice as it wouldnt be fair on the children we already have, and i feel it wouldnt be fair on the baby either when he/she starts school. i should have the results by Tuesday and will also know the sex by then. please do not judge me on what choice we will make.

so i just wanted to say hi and fill you guys in on me as iv missed out on heaps in this forum. so hi lol happy.gif

Welcome and I hope all goes well with your results. We have 2 kids and are also having a third. Our scan results were 1 in 400 so this is apparently borderline whether to do an amnio. We decided to have one which will be next week. It's a tough thing to be going through for you guys too. Hang in there and wait for tuesday.
We too know we wouldn't choose to go ahead if the results were bad. Everyone has to make the decision that's right for them. The stats show 97 percent wouldn't continue with the preg. Just wanted you to know that.
