Epg- it does seem like all the action is over there. Am I correct there's 69 members? There were 68 i think on the weekend. My request hasn't been accepted so I can only see from the outside.

Agem_my_world- was your fb request accepted? I'm looking forward to my scan too. I go tomorrow. :-)

Been really struggling. Without going into too much detail, I went to see a dr on Sun. Apparently can't get a referral to a counsellor unless it's from my normal gp. feeling defeated as to where I can get support right now.

I'm another who's not on the facebook group.. I'd love to not have to join but it's so quiet in here.. Anyone else wanting to stay here and have our own little non-facebook group?
I don't think I could keep up with 69 members..

ETA - Stanzy, hope you are feeling better soon! Anything a vent would fix?

I'm happy to eschew FB and have a group here. I miss how things were in a DIG before FB took over.....

Babyinabackpack- 69 members does seem daunting! I'd be happy to have smaller group here- My request hasn't been accepted anyway. As for a vent- I'm just super teary and exhausted and don't feel like I can properly explain anything. But thank you for caring :-)

Lozypops- thanks for your support. I see my ob tomorrow so I'm going to see what he suggests.

I had my scan today and everything is great. I'm measuring at 20 weeks- a week ahead! And it's a  babyboy.gif  :-) but I feel like I've let people down because everyone thought/hoped it was a girl bar two people! I know, I know, I'm very sensitive right now.

Anyone else had their scan this week?

I haven't posted in here for a while but come in to check what's happening every few days.
Stanzy, glad your scan went well, congratulations on having another boy.  I know what it's like when everyone around you really wants a girl, but my two boys are the best of friends and love each other to bits.  I am hoping though that at least one of these is a girl : )

My scan is next week, but not finding out what we're having.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Great news Stanzy, a boy is lovely. Don't worry what others say. People just say silly things.
I'm using this thread not Facebook so count me in here.
Have my scan tomorrow which is great except no one can make it to come with me so I'm going with just the kids. Not sure if they will behave but I really hope so. DH has had so much time off work with the kids sick and mum can't take tomorrow. Really hoping all goes well.

I am going to the doctors tomorrow to get my referral for my 20 week scan. I am not finding out what bubbie is and I am so excited just to make sure that bubs is ok and have a peek at what my beautiful baby will look like original.gif

Nattmum- all the best for your scan tomorrow :-)

Agem_my_world - great to have you in here :-)

Had my ob appt today. He's great and I explained what was going on. He's going to monitor me with work etc and he gave me a referral. I know i have too much on and  I need to learn to say no. I feel better just knowing I'm taking the right steps.

Yay! the DIG is alive!

stanzy - sorry to hear you are having a tough time. If you feel you can explain things, feel free to vent okay? But atleast your doctor is showing concern which is great! As for exhaustion - well, i'm still waiting for that second trimester energy boost to hit that everyone talks about.. BUT, just glad the MS has finally passed..
Yay for a boy! I can understand about pressure from everyone, but it's not exactly like you were given a choice! And i'm sure once bubs is here noone will care!

natttmumm - good luck with your scan! How awesome that your kids will get to see it aswell! I'm sure everything will go fine!

AgEm_my_world - Haha.. I'm the opposite! I'm hoping bubs is late! Our due date corresponds directly with Chinese New Year, and seeing as we are living in Taiwan at the moment, that means 2 weeks of 24hours a day firecrackers and fireworks and literally, no sleep.. Add a new born into that, and um.. no thanks.

AFM, we had our 17 week scan nearly 2 weeks ago (they do them monthly over here and cost $1.50 - I know, i'm incredibly spoilt!) and all was good. Bubs was weighing 200g and everything looked good. 10 fingers and toes, a nicely formed lip and cute little nose! Have started to feel definite movements this last week which is pretty amazing and weird at the same time..
Our next scan is at 21weeks so that will be fun. We are planning on not finding out the gender, although we both want a girl, and I kind of think it's a boy. It'll be a nice surprise!
What have you bought so far? We have literally bought nothing and the thought of hitting halfway next week has just hit us..
Good luck with your scans ladies!

Hi ladies,

Super late in joining in, but due 20 Feb 2013, and super excited.

Been TTC for 2 years so have been hesitant on making it official on the www until now... but 18 weeks and starting to show, so thought - why not!

Hoping to be able to share the journey with all you lovely ladies.

Cheers
