There is a great need for a sarcasm font.

I just heard about it on the radio so I think it must be here too. All strollers from 1999 to 2009.

US authorities have announced a recall of a million baby strollers made by UK's Maclaren, saying they posed a risk of "fingertip amputation" to young children.

Eek, we have one too.... The kids are never near me when I open it though, I open it then get them out of the car (saves chasing them).

I hope if it's a recall here they'll replace them instead, I really have grown attached to my Maclaren stroller.

I have just read this article in today's SMH. Maclaren are recalling millions of strollers in the US produced from 1999 on. It seems that the folding mechanism has amputated the fingers of 12 children hence the recall. If you're purchased a Maclaren from the US you may be interested in this article.

Is it is all Maclaren strollers - I have a Maclaren Vogue and it's not on the list from this link

Unless it goes by another name in the US... does anybody know?

Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain
Is this relating to ALL Maclarens, or only ones from the US?

I have one, and cant see my child ever putting her fingers anywhere near it when folding it/unfolding it. Wouldnt this risk be the same in all strollers, anyway? Isnt there this same risk everytime you open/close a door?

From what I read on several sites it is a worldwide recall, apparently the strollers are made identical for all over the world...jsut to the highest world standards so that they dont need to change anything.

It includes ALL strollers made by Mclaren...you need to send away for a zip on cover that covers that part.....it appears to also include the Mclaren Major *which is an SN stroller*

From the story it relates to those strollers made in China - if my stroller was of the brand/model mentioned I would be taking extra care.
