Making a baby is as fun as sex!
I found trying to conceive my second baby a lot harder than with my first, so here are my ‘expert’ tips on what I did to finally conceive my much wanted second child.
- Throw away the ‘Maybe Baby’ – I was tracking my ovulation like a mad woman, and putting way too much pressure on myself. My poor husband - I’m sure he felt more like a sperm donor than a man just doing his husbandry duties!
- Flirt. Think back to the days when your relationship was new. My husband and I would send flirty text messages to each other all day so by the time he got home from work, we just wanted to ravish each other, actually wanting sex rather than just wanting to conceive.
- Orgasm. Sounds simple enough. You are in such a relaxed state afterwards – perfect grounds for conceiving!
- Keep quiet. Don’t tell people you’re in the throes of baby making, as this just adds more pressure on you and your partner. You’ll constantly be asked, “Are you pregnant yet?” and it will drive you crazy – and put you under extra stress.
