There are some pretty creative parents and photographers around willing to go the extra mile to create adorable images that warm our hearts. Nothing is cuter than a baby photo shoot and let's face it, some are funnier than others.

Essential Baby readers loved the photo shoots we discovered and shared in 2017 so here are five of the favourites that had you oohing and ahhing at their cuteness.

1. Cheeseburger smash

It was a funny take on the cake smash, though the photographer and mum weren't prepared for the internet backlash... not that this adorable 1-year-old even knew what to do with a cheeseburger. Turns out he has a twin and a vegetable photo shoot was promptly organised to rebuff the judgers.
