If you've ever tried - and failed - to get a sick child to take their medicine then you're not alone.

That's exactly why this genius hack from blogger Rach of "Mummy Looks Funny" has gone viral.

In a post to Facebook, the mother-of-two shared what she calls the "parenting hack of the decade."

"This shit works," she wrote. " I'm talking ANY MEDICINE."

1. Get your stinky medicine that your kid has been flat out refusing to take. Measure the required dose and put it on a spoon.

2. Grab some rainbow sprinkles. Dealers choice for the brand. I'm a high roller so we have tescos own make.

3. Sprinkle the sprinkles onto the spoonful of previously repulsive liquid.

"BAM!" says Rach. "You now have yourself some delicious and magical unicorn potion."

The mum explained that she dreamed up her "weird parenting hack" in a desperate sleep-deprived bid to get her toddler to take an antibiotic.

But she never expected it to spread so far.

"I haven't stopped laughing," she posted in an update. "It's beyond bizarre. I genuinely didn't think this would happen in my wildest dreams. I just wanted to give you all a laugh and hopefully prevent a few tantrums among children and parents alike."

"My 4 year old point blank refuses to take any medication even doctors can't get it in him when hes ill. I'm Definitely given this a try, it's genius!," said one mum.
Others called it "life-saving" and "amazing."
If the hacks sounds familiar well, you're right!.
"I think you'll find Mary Poppins already explained this trick quite clearly you glory hunting freeloader," wrote an angry Alan.
 To which Rach responded:
"Yes Alan I did 100 per cent plagiarise good old Mary Poppins. Disney have been in touch. She's taking me for everything I own.
