Breastfeeding mums learn pretty quickly how important it is never to leave the house without breast pads.

Looking down at a breast milk soaked t-shirt is an all too familiar scenario for new mums.

One mum however, has shockingly revealed that breasts aren't the only place that we should be looking out for leakage.

TikTok user Lindsay White shared a video to her account, describing how she discovered breast milk leaking from her armpit while she was feeding her baby.

The mum-of-two started the video by saying, "This is going to blow your mind, but did you know that you can leak breast milk from places other than your boobs like...your armpit?".

She explained that one day, while she was feeding her daughter Allie, she looked down and noticed her baby's hair was soaking wet.

"I realised it was coming from my armpit", she revealed.

Initially thinking she may have just been a little sweaty, she inspected her armpit but quickly noticed a huge lump.

"So I squeezed it and milk squirted out!", she continued.

At that point Lindsay panicked slightly and went to the doctor concerned she may have a third nipple.

The doctor quickly put her at ease by explaining, "Your milk line actually runs all the way up through your armpits'. Wow!"

The mum's 143,000 TikTok followers, were left completely stunned.

One person commented, "Did not know this! Absolutely magnificent".

Though other women, who haven't been through the experience of kids and breastfeeding yet, struggled to handle the information, one responding; "Thank you for the free birth control".

After the video went viral, the mum uploaded a few follow-up videos to share more about her experience.

"When I later got pregnant with my son Koda, I leaked milk out of three spots on one side and two spots on the other", she revealed.

As the milk ducts would at times cause her intense pain, she shared a few tips on how other mums who develop the same lump can ease the discomfort.

"Hand express milk out by squeezing and massaging. Get a warm washcloth and place it on there before and during a feeding."

She also encouraged her followers to have their doctor check the lump to make sure everything is okay.

Lindsay is now pregnant with her third child and has revealed the lump has returned, even bigger than before.

She used to be self-concious about it, but has learned to embrace it as part of her incredible breastfeeding journey and encourages other mums to do the same.
