Preparing for a baby can be overwhelming - and knowing what products are best for your little one can be tough.

The Finder Retail Awards have revealed the best parenting and baby brands for 2020, quizzing more than 3,000 Australian consumers on their recent purchases.

Parents were asked to rate the products based on quality and value for money, as well as if they would recommend them to other parents.

Kate Browne, retail expert at Finder said the Finder Awards were designed to work as a guide for new parents.

"With so many brands on the market, it's incredibly hard for new parents to know where to start," she explained.

"Parents do want reassurance that they are buying the best when it comes to their new baby and this list gives clear guidance on the brands to look out for."

The list includes a mix of budget and high end brands, with Browne suggesting keeping an eye out during Christmas sales to save money.

"The good news is there are some ways to save without compromising on quality," she explained.
