Recall notice: fourth cot recalled in less than one month

Parents: check your babies' cots. A recall notice has been issued for yet another cot sold in Australia, the fourth in less than a month.

According to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) the White New Zealand Pine 3-in-1 Baby Sleigh Cot Bed with Drawers, fails to comply with Australian mandatory safety standards including design, construction, performance and labelling requirements.  

The defects place children at risk of potential harm due to entrapment, choking and fall hazards.

Sold online by E&K Trade Pty Ltd, trading as All4Kids, cots were available from 25 October 2016 - 31 January 2017.

Affected cribs bear the identifying number: 2017/16064​

Parents are advised to stop using the cots immediately. Consumers will be contacted directly by E&K Trade to organise the delivery of new labels and sliding mechanisms.
